Area Information
There is an eclectic mix of architecture from across the ages together with many new houses. There is a chance to take pleasing walks in the surrounding countryside which will uncover a mix of wildlife, whilst a stroll along the banks of the River Ouse will delight artists.
A local market is held the first Saturday of every month, as well as this the village has plenty of shops, a supermarket, 3 restaurants, and a train station!
Legend has it that King Canute founded this fishing village on the Ouse and named it Littleport. Until recently it provided dock and warehouse facilities serving barges from Kings Lynn. Now the cargo port has given way to a modern marina to service the river pleasure boat trade.
